Botanical Beach
My most recent pattern, Botanical Beach, was named after a place on Vancouver Island. I got to visit there recently and took some photos so you can see why it’s so inspiring.
I think Botanical Beach is really iconic of the character of Vancouver Island, including those crashing waves, jutting Sitka spruce trees, and incredible tide life like sea palm and gooseneck barnacles.
Botanical Beach is a wild place in Port Renfrew, BC on Vancouver Island where the waves crash on slippery rocks and gorgeous evergreen trees jut above the shoreline. Bring the ocean with you wherever you go with this colourwork toque on which waves splash and recede in a mesmerizing stitch pattern. I knit mine in the heavenly mYak Baby Yak Medium. Choose a yarn that’s not too dense at the pattern gauge for a cozy, slouchy style.
