June Club Reveal!

Time to reveal the first surprise!

Here’s the June, 2023 pattern!

The Moon Jelly Hat is an homage to the diaphanous animals that seem like aliens floating through the ocean. Look at a moon jelly’s bell from above and you’ll see four almost circular structures through their transluscent bodies, a delicate image that we took inspiration from for the touch of colourwork at the very tip-top of the hat. Worked with a long, ribbed brim, it’s a cozy, comforting knit that will mesmerize you as the watery colour shifts from pale to deep teal.

🌊 What you’ll love about this project:

  • Mesmerizing colour-changing yarn that keeps you knitting “just one more round!”

  • An elegant tubular cast-on method that’s a great skill to add to your knitting toolbox

  • Clever use of colour so that you can use one end of the ball for casting on and the other end for your contrast yarn during colourwork.

  • The sweetest bit of colourwork at the crown inspired by our ocean-dwelling friends

  • Sizes from baby to grownup so you can make it for the perfect recipient

  • Printer-friendly pattern with lots of helpful extras

  • Bonus — the pattern is a great vanilla hat template that you can use over and over again with those special skeins of fingering weight yarn in your stash.
