KnitOvation Launch Party

Thank you for a fun event!

Last weekend I got a chance to chat with knitters, show off samples, and sign books at Beehive Wool and I’m so grateful for everyone who came by! Here are just a few photos of the event and of course my me-made outfit featuring my favourite yellow dress, my Knitter’s Dude sweater, and my Checklist of Birds Socks.

The KnitOvation samples, including the Midnight Garden Pullover (in sizes 33”/84 cm and 45”/114.5 cm), the Domed Toque, the Nautilus Mitts, and a selection of twenty swatches are going to be at Beehive for the next couple weeks, so be sure to stop by and try them on before November 6 if you missed the launch party!

They’re also currently the only place that has signed copies of KnitOvation on hand!

The same photo with trunk show samples as before, but this time in black and white.

I took a photo of the Midnight Garden sweaters on display and I couldn’t help but process the image in colour and in black-and-white. This is my favourite trick for deciding if two colours have enough contrast (light vs. dark) to be used together in colourwork. You can see how boldly the colourwork stands out in the black-and-white image!

If you’ve got your copy of KnitOvation, I’d be so grateful if you’d share what you think!

Leave a review on Amazon or post a photo to Instagram to let other folks know about the book. And if you use AlterKnit or KnitOvation in your knitting, be sure to tag me on Insta (@AndreaRangelKnits) so I can share your work.

Thanks for being a part of my knitting business!

P.S. That yellow dress is Jackie from Victory Patterns. It has pockets!
