Summertime

It’s Hot

This week has admittedly been toasty and I’ve been trying to do my outside things as early in the morning as possible. The sunshine can be a little challenging for photography because the shadows are so harsh, but I love to practice taking pictures in difficult conditions to see if I can capture the mood.

Here’s what it’s been like in the dry, sunny weather.

About that Bubble

Someone must have been having fun with bubbles nearby our home and just one of those bubbles got caught in a spiderweb right outside our living room window. There was something so bizarre and engaging about it just sitting there, suspended. I kept checking on it to see if it was still there! And as far as I could tell, it actually never popped, just slowly dried out and deflated, not disappearing until a day or two after I first saw it. I kind of love that if you look really closely, you can see the clouds reflected upside down between the shimmers.

And Thank you!

We’ve wrapped up signups for the 2023 Gauge Summer Yarn + Pattern Club and we’re so grateful for everyone who has participated! If that’s you, you’ll be getting your yarn and pattern in a couple weeks and we’ll share more about our design process when we do the project reveal.
