It's Twinkle Week!

Have you started your holiday knitting?

Knitters start planning for the holidays a little earlier than other people because our precious work takes time. That’s why me and Catherine at Gauge Dye Works are celebrating a little festivity right now! Every year Catherine offers a limited holiday colourway called Twinkle and this is the moment!

The Colourway

These colours together reminded us of vintage holiday lights and they generally put us in a cheerful, cozy mood. To celebrate that vibe, I create a “String of Lights” colourwork chart to pair perfectly with my Saxe Point socks. It’s now offered as a bonus that comes free with your purchase of the Saxe Point PDF pattern. You can get the pattern here! And here’s a tutorial on how to turn up the festive energy with duplicate stitch.

What does "holiday knitting" mean to you?

Catherine asked this over on Instagram and I’d love to hear what you all think! Tell me in the comments below.

a) Gifts of epic proportions. Like matching sweaters for all 12 grandkids.
b) One or two small, thoughtful gifts for the most worthy of friends and relatives.
c) Planning ahead so you have the perfect project ready to cast on for yourself during the holidays.

I’m B this year, followed by C for sure.

Head to the Gauge website to get your limited-edition Twinkle yarn to knit up as a gift, give to a special knitter friend in yarn form, or save for your own knitting enjoyment after the holiday hubub is over.
