Talented yarnies can turn wool and dye into yarns that rival precious metals — bold and striking as gold or exquisite and gleaming as platinum. This shawl transforms those gorgeous yarns into your favourite adornment. The gold version is knit with a bigger, chunkier aran yarn while the platinum features a more delicate fingering weight. The simple lace pattern is even eye-catching in a variegated yarn. And of course, there’s no need to answer the question of “Platinum or Gold?” With how quickly this shawl knits up, you can easily make one of each!
The Knitter’s Dude takes inspiration from the iconic Big Lebowski sweater, but it’s designed with the knitter’s enjoyment and inspiration in mind. It’s worked entirely in the round so that the stranded color work never has to be worked on the wrong side, and finishing doesn’t require any seaming.
The fit is relaxed and flattering with compound raglan yoke shaping, a generous collar, and beautiful tubular cast-on and bound-off edges.
The sample is shown on a woman, but the pattern is unisex - there are instructions for modifying the sweater to be more appropriate for men’s/tall sizes, so you can make it work for all the Dudes and Dudettes in your life.
And if you’ve got a tiny one, The Little Dude comes in sizes newborn to age 12! Get The Royal We, the ebook for both patterns.
These patterns were updated with an improved layout in October, 2023 so your knitting experience will be even better.
