4 Seaspray Shawl Projects
My latest shawl pattern, Seaspray, is a lace half pi shawl knit at a fine gauge for the perfect springtime accessory. Check out some projects by knitters on Ravelry!
Svetula27 used US 2.5/3 mm needles and Angora yarn from Russia.
Sanita60 knit her Seaspray with Fyberspates Scrumptious Lace & US 1.5/2 mm needles. I love how this one drapes! That transparent, filmy fabric is so elegant!
Webebusy's project is a bit more substantial. The lace is so crisp and that fabric has the sweetest shine to it! She used US 2/2.75 mm needles and Swans Island Natural Colors Merino Silk Lace.
Deetennant6 knit hers in Ella Rae SW Merino. I love that blue! And it's such a pretty closeup of the lace. She used US 0/2 mm needles.
Buy Seaspray below or on Ravelry if that's where you like to keep your patterns.
I live just a short walk away from a park that’s right on the water. There’s a sweet beach, forested paths, and striking rocky shoreline that gets strong, crashing waves coming in. I’m always mesmerized by the colour and drama of the sea, and amazed that I get to live so close to such an impressive place. I named this shawl Seaspray thinking of my walks along the boulders.
Worked in a draping lace weight yarn, Seaspray combines several intuitive lace patterns using the simple shape of a half pi shawl for elegant and impressive results. It’s finished off with a wavy lace pattern reminiscent of the sea.
Knit it in a watery blue-green like this one in Sincere Sheep Diaphanous - the color is fittingly called Agean - or choose soft white for a perfect bridal accessory.
Lace patterns are charted and written.
